I Celebrate Hospitality

I celebrate the art of hospitality in every guest experience. Empower employees to go the “extra mile” for each guest. I celebrate the art of hospitality by how each guest reacts to the engagement that they have with that special employee. I celebrate hospitality because it’s what truly captures a guest's heart. ... Genuine hospitality is what separates a great experience from a forgettable one.

I don’t normally promote any one hotel company, or product. But, Four Seasons has a book that you can buy that communicates what hospitality truly is to them. Here is a little excerpt from their webpage about the book The Art of Hospitality.

Each Four Seasons destination is a distinctive experience, yet all properties are united under the philosophy that exceptional personal service and savoir faire can make a single stay life-changing. It is the spa manager, the executive chef, the astronomer, the concierge, the sommelier, the florist, and the myriad other star team members working behind the scenes who make up the true identity of Four Seasons, taking the time to connect with guests and turn dreams into reality every day.”

Hospitality is such an important part of life for so many reasons. It inspires creativity, expands horizons, exceeds expectations, and excites the senses. But most of all, it brings people together. I don’t believe that has to stop just because we are physically apart. We, as hospitality professionals have come up with so many ways to touch our guests this year. Making sure that we still bring a level of service that is expected. That creativity shouldn’t stop, but expand as the year progresses and our ability to reach out and touch the guest grows.
